How A Nursery Background Shaped Commercial Care

How A Nursery Background Shaped Commercial Care

|

In 1971, a nursery background and an entrepreneurial idea set a business in motion. What began with plants grown by family became the foundation for work that now supports commercial properties across Ohio, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. That beginning still matters, because commercial landscaping depends on more than what looks good on a given day. It calls for dependable systems, clear communication, safe practices, and people who treat every property with intention.

Why This Industry Builds Real Careers

Landscaping is sometimes viewed as temporary work, but we see it differently. As the video puts it, “that is not the case.” This industry creates room for people to build meaningful careers while caring for the outdoor environments where businesses, employees, visitors, and communities spend their time.

That perspective connects directly to our commitment to nurture people and environments. The quality of a commercial landscape comes from teams who understand the work, respect one another, and take pride in the details that help a property feel cared for throughout the year.

From A Family Nursery To Commercial Maintenance

Our earliest roots were practical and hands-on. The original idea was to take plants being grown at a family nursery and “create a service out of that.” It was a simple starting point, but it reflected a lasting willingness to recognize what customers need and build the right capabilities around it. Over time, our focus shifted toward commercial maintenance—including a branch created “focused exclusively on commercial maintenance.” That direction established the disciplined, year-round approach we bring to commercial landscape care today.

Consistency Across Every Branch

Growth across multiple states doesn’t mean treating every location like it’s the same. Our local branches understand the properties and communities they serve, while standardized systems help us maintain consistent quality and safety across all operations.

Our footprint supports commercial properties throughout the region:

  • Columbus, Ohio, with two branch locations
  • Cleveland, Ohio
  • Erie, Pennsylvania, with two branch locations
  • Detroit, Ann Arbor, and Macomb, Michigan

For customers, that combination means regional capacity with local presence—the same intentional approach to communication, teamwork, and quality whether a property needs ongoing maintenance or support through changing seasons.

What Five Decades Of Doing This Work Makes Possible

Our history isn’t just about where we’ve worked or how our services evolved. It’s about continually choosing to improve, stay responsive, and hold ourselves to a high standard. Those choices guide how we work with customers today, from proactive communication to the care we bring to every commercial property we maintain.

We’re proud of the work that brought us here and grateful for the people who continue to move it forward. To talk about year-round commercial landscape care, reach our team at (380) 233-9970.
